The European Union will allocate €35 billion in financial assistance to Ukraine in 2025 as part of the G7 ERA credit initiative and the Ukraine Facility program.
This announcement was made by Valdis Dombrovskis, Vice President of the European Commission and Commissioner for Trade, on social media following a meeting with Ukraine’s Minister of Economy, Yulia Svyrydenko, at the World Economic Forum in Davos.
“The EU is delivering financial support through the G7 ERA loan initiative and the Ukraine Facility, with €35bn for 2025,” Dombrovskis stated.
He also noted that during the meeting with Svyrydenko, they discussed steps to bring Ukraine closer to the EU Single Market and expand economic cooperation.
Previously, it was reported that the EU is bracing for a potential Russian attack by 2028, according to a top security official.
On January 21, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, speaking at the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland, reaffirmed his determination to end Russia’s war in 2025. He emphasized the importance of achieving peace in a manner that ensures safety and stability for the Ukrainian people.
