Russia’s strikes have cut off gas and water supplies in the city of Pokrovsk, Donetsk region.

This was reported by the Head of the Donetsk Military Administration, Vadym Filashkin.

“Russians cut off the water supply to Pokrovsk. As a result of the hostilities, the work of the modular filter station, thanks to which Pokrovsk received water recently, was stopped. It is currently impossible to fix it,” Filashkin wrote on September 12.

The local authority is working on securing water for the civilians, In particular, 75 wells for public use have already been drilled and 250 wells were drilled near high-rise buildings.

Drinking water delivery has been organized and 8 reverse osmosis units have been installed, from which people can collect water for free.

Previously, on September 11, the Head of the Donetsk Military Administration reported the Russian forces destroying a gas distribution station in the Pokrovsk community, and 28,000 people remained without gas.

Intense fighting has been going on near Pokrovsk for months where Russia continues their offensive on the eastern front. Local authorities advise locals to evacuate.
