Evacuation trains will no longer run from Pokrovsk due to the deteriorating security situation.

Starting September 5, the new departure station for evacuation trains will be Pavlohrad in the Dnipropetrovsk region, as stated by Myrnohrad City Military Administration.

Previously, evacuation by train from Pokrovsk in Donetsk region was conducted daily. Since April 18, the train had been transporting people to Zhytomyr region, and prior to that, to Cherkasy region.

In August, over 20,000 people were evacuated from the city. As of September 4, 26,000 residents remain in Pokrovsk.

For several months, the Pokrovsk direction has been consistently marked as the most intense and high-risk zone in daily updates from the Ukrainian General Staff. Following the capture of Avdiivka, Russian forces are now trying to advance further towards Pokrovsk. On September 5, The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported that Ukrainian Defense Forces repelled 52 Russian assaults and attacks near Vozdvyzhenka, Zelenе Pole, Novohrodivka, Hrodivka, Selydove, Mykolayivka, and Myrolyubivka.
