Russia’s War Death Toll Surpasses 1.1 Million, Ukrainian General Staff Reports

The Ukrainian General Staff on the morning of September 26, 2025, published updated estimates of Russian combat losses in the full-scale invasion that began on February 24, 2022, placing total personnel losses at about 1,106,430. The statement, posted by the General Staff and reported by Radio Svoboda on September 26,

Listed are the following equipment losses:

In the General Staff’s bilingual post the command wrote: “The estimated total combat losses of the enemy from 24.02.22 to 26.09.25 about 1,106,43 persons,” repeating the full equipment tally in both Ukrainian and English. The General Staff noted that its figures are being refined. 

The General Staff concluded its post with the slogan that appears on its social channels: “Fight the invader! Together we will win!'“

Earlier, it was reported that Ukraine’s General Staff said Russia’s overall manpower losses in the full-scale invasion had surpassed one million, with a year-by-year breakdown of the casualties
