At the International Summit on the Support of Ukraine on February 24, Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez unveiled a new €1 billion military aid package, with deliveries scheduled throughout 2025.

“For peace to be just, Ukraine must be at the negotiating table. For peace to be lasting, Europe must be involved in the process. For peace to be comprehensive, it cannot be reduced to a mere ceasefire,” Sánchez stated.

Spanish PM emphasized that his country will continue supporting Ukraine for as long as necessary.

“We will provide aid, including military equipment and supplies, with even greater determination than before,” Sánchez added.

On February 24, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that ending Russia’s invasion must begin with steps that would help restore trust in the process, “because there is no trust in Russia.” Zelenskyy suggested that a key step could be the release of all Ukrainian prisoners held by Moscow.
