Spanish PM Sánchez to Visit Kyiv in Show of Support for Zelenskyy After Trump’s “Dictator” Accusation

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez announced that he will travel to Ukraine on February 24 to show support for President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and Ukrainian democracy.

This announcement comes a day after U.S. President Donald Trump referred to Zelenskyy as a “dictator,” and questioned his democratic legitimacy.
On February 19, several European leaders expressed their disagreement with recent comments made by Trump, who referred to Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy as a dictator and questioned his democratic legitimacy.
Additionally, Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda is set to visit Kyiv ahead of the third anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.
