TIME Names Diia, Ukraine’s E-Governance App, Among the World’s Best Inventions of 2024

Ukraine’s Minister of Digital Transformation, Mykhailo Fedorov, announced that Diia  has been included in TIME’s Best Inventions 2024 list in the “Apps and Software” category. Each year, TIME selects 200 inventions that they believe are changing the world. This year, Diia was awarded for its online marriage service, marking the first fully digital process for marriage registration globally.

Fedorov emphasized that this significant recognition highlights the Ukrainian product, which joins the ranks of other acclaimed technologies like OpenAI GPT-4, Zoom, and Duolingo. He expressed gratitude to the team that works around the clock to achieve such results, as well as to the users who actively support the initiative.

Diia is a mobile application that provides Ukrainians with access to digital services, simplifying bureaucratic processes. The initiative has become a crucial tool in the digitalization of state services in Ukraine, enhancing convenience for citizens.
