UK and Allies Announce £150 Million Military Aid Package for Ukraine

The UK, alongside allies, unveiled a £150 million military aid package for Ukraine.

UK Defence Secretary Grant Shapps emphasized the package’s importance, stating it provides “essential support” for Ukraine’s military. He detailed two key areas:

£70 million for air defense radars, decoys, and electronic warfare systems to counter aerial threats and protect infrastructure;

£80 million for small boats, reconnaissance drones, and uncrewed vessels to strengthen Ukraine’s navy.

Shapps highlighted the International Fund for Ukraine’s role in addressing Ukraine’s urgent needs. The fund has reached £900 million, with the UK as the top donor at £500 million. Denmark, Estonia, Finland, and Germany also contribute.
