During his visit to Kyiv on January 16, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer joined President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at St. Michael’s Square to honor Ukraine’s fallen defenders.

The visit coincided with Starmer’s commitment to a the ‘100-Year Partnership’ treaty aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s security and resilience through cooperation in defense, science, energy, and trade.

The UK has been a steadfast ally since Russia’s full-scale invasion, providing $16 billion in aid and training 50,000 Ukrainian troops. During his visit, Starmer announced an additional $49 million to support Ukraine’s post-war recovery.
