In a daily evening address, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that in July Ukrainian Defense and Security Forces used more drones than Russian forces, marking a strategic advantage that the Ukrainian military aims to maintain.

“Our Ukrainian Defense and Security Forces are already taking advantage of this, and in July our soldiers used more drones than the occupier. This should be a sustainable trend at the front — across all types of drones that our units have,” according to Zelenskyy.

This includes the deployment of various types of drones, from FPV models to long-range systems that are playing a crucial role in the broader strategic objectives of the war.

In addition, the Ministry of Strategy and Industry and the Ministry of Digital Transformation of Ukraine reported on focusing on the advances in Ukrainian military tech and financing of drones.

Notably, Ukrainian manufacturers have already contracted one million drones for this year, with plans to expand production further. The council also has made the decision to increase funding for Ukraine’s rocket program, ensuring continued advancements in military technology.

“One million drones have already been contracted by our manufacturers for this year, and there will be a year more in total. A decision was made regarding our rocket program — to increase funding,” Zelenskyy said.

The Minister of Defense provided an update on the ongoing supply of weapons to Ukrainian brigades and the progress of negotiations with international partners. Zelenskyy expressed his gratitude to all global allies who are committed to supporting Ukraine’s defense efforts.
