Ukraine Destroys Rare Russian KOP-2 “Drone Hunter” With Just Two Drones, Video

Ukrainian drone operators from the 424th Svarog Battalion of the Armed Forces’ Unmanned Systems Forces have successfully destroyed a rare Russian electronic warfare system known as the KOP-2 .
According to a statement released by the Unmanned Systems Forces via Telegram, the Russian system was identified and neutralized in an active combat zone using only two drones.
The first strike disabled the equipment, while the second completed its destruction.

The KOP-2 is described as an experimental Russian platform designed to counter unmanned aerial vehicles by scanning a wide radio frequency spectrum, detecting the control frequency of incoming drones, and attempting to jam their signals with high-powered interference.
Russian forces reportedly use such systems to protect high-value assets, including air defense installations.
Despite its intended purpose, the KOP-2 failed to withstand the precision of Ukrainian drone operators. The system, considered both rare and costly, was destroyed in a two-stage operation.
The Unmanned Systems Forces emphasized that this particular model represents one of several Russian attempts to develop effective countermeasures against Ukraine’s growing fleet of drones.
Earlier, Ukraine’s Prymary unit from the Main Intelligence Directorate conducted a precision drone strike in Donetsk, destroying key components of Russia’s air defense network, including two S-300V launchers, multiple radar systems such as the “Niobium-SV” and “Podlyot,” and a P-18 early-warning radar.
