Ukraine Exposes Russian Disinformation: Fake Video Masquerading as UNITED24 Media Content

Russia has launched a new disinformation campaign by circulating a fake video allegedly produced by UNITED24 Media, Ukraine’s Center for Countering Disinformation reported on March 4.
According to the Ukrainian agency, Russian Telegram channels are spreading the fabricated video, which supposedly features a nonexistent Ukrainian Deputy Defense Minister, Dmytro Marushchak.
In the clip, the fake official is seen thanking European partners for a $2 billion (£1.6 billion) military aid package but claiming it is not enough.
However, UNITED24 Media representatives confirmed to the Center for Countering Disinformation that they never created such a video, debunking the false claims.

Moreover, there is no such person as Dmytro Marushchak among Ukraine’s Deputy Ministers of Defense.
Earlier, Russian media claimed Kyiv is considering a series of terrorist attacks against Russian diplomatic missions in Europe to derail negotiations.
This was reported by various Russian news agencies including RT, citing Russia’s Foreign Intelligence Service.
“Ukraine will most likely attempt attacks in Germany, the Baltic and Scandinavian countries, as well as Slovakia and Hungary, according to the agency,” RT wrote on its Telegram channel.
Looking at previous similar Russian claims, Moscow often accuses others of exactly what it is going to do itself.
