Ukraine Hits Russian Iskander Base at Molkino, Destroys Six Missile System Vehicles

In late August 2025, Ukrainian long-range drones carried out a large-scale strike on Russia’s Molkino military training ground in the Krasnodar region, destroying several components of the Iskander tactical missile system, according to Defense Express on September 23.
Images circulating on the internet show the aftermath of the attack, with at least six burned vehicles based on the MZKT-7930 chassis and one KamAZ truck.
Analysts from the OSINT community CyberBoroshno assessed that the strike destroyed one 9P78-1 launcher and five 9T250 transport-loading vehicles.
The attack involved 14 Ukrainian drones, which hit both open-air parking areas and storage hangars at the site.

Defense Express reported that alongside the Iskander equipment, the strike also damaged a Pantsir-S1 air defense system, as well as warehouse facilities and support vehicles.
The Molkino training ground is located near the town of Goryachy Klyuch, home to Russia’s 1st Missile Brigade, a unit equipped with the Iskander missile system.
The base has also been previously associated with training for Russian special forces and private military companies, including Wagner.
Earlier, Ukraine’s General Staff reported that its forces struck two oil facilities in Russia’s Bryansk and Samara regions and hit two aircraft at the Kacha airbase in occupied Crimea. The operation involved missile, artillery, and drone units, with damage confirmed to key infrastructure sites linked to Russia’s fuel supply network.
