The Executive Board of the International Monetary Fund  (IMF) has completed the sixth review of Ukraine's Extended Fund Facility program (EFF), approving a tranche of $1.1 billion, according to Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal on December 20.

"The funds will be allocated to support critical budgetary expenditures, helping to stabilize the economy during challenging times," said Shmyhal.

With this disbursement, the total amount provided to Ukraine under the program will reach approximately $9.8 billion since its inception.

"Thank you to the team at the International Monetary Fund for their consistent support of our country during difficult times," added Shmyhal.

On October 23, it was reported that around $1.1 billion was received by Ukraine from the International Monetary Fund  (IMF), which will be directed to cover important budget expenditures of a non-military nature.
