Ukraine has brought back another large group of children from Russian-occupied territories under the Bring Kids Back UA initiative, the Office of the President announced on September 5.
“Within the framework of President Zelenskyy’s Bring Kids Back UA initiative, we managed to rescue a large group of Ukrainian children from temporarily occupied territories. During the years of occupation, they endured oppression, coercion, and the imposition of Russian propaganda. Today, they are safe and receiving the necessary assistance in Ukraine,” said Andriy Yermak, Head of the Presidential Office.
Among those rescued were sisters whom the occupation authorities tried to place in an orphanage after their mother’s death, children forced to sing the Russian national anthem and attend propaganda meetings with Russian troops, as well as a teenager registered for military service despite serious health problems.

His mother, meanwhile, was subjected to humiliation for her refusal to send her children to militarized activities.
“Today all of them are receiving support: restoring their documents, undergoing psychological rehabilitation, and getting assistance to begin a new free life. I thank Save Ukraine and all partners for helping rescue these children,” Yermak emphasized.
Earlier, it was reported that another group of Ukrainian children and teenagers aged 3 to 18 was successfully brought back from Russia and the temporarily occupied territories under President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s Bring Kids Back UA initiative.
