Ukraine Scales Up Production of Neptune Missiles with Extended Range Capabilities
Ukraine has significantly expanded the production of its R-360 "Neptune" cruise missiles, enhancing their range and effectiveness. This was announced by Defense Minister Rustem Umerov following a strategic meeting with leading Ukrainian missile manufacturers on November 18.
The discussions centered around plans for 2025, key areas of collaboration, and the overall growth of the defense industry.
"Today, we are ramping up the production of Ukrainian missiles. This year alone, the first 100 missiles have already been manufactured," Umerov said.
Additionally, the Minister highlighted ongoing advancements in drone technology, including the development of the "Palianytsia" missile drone. He described this project as a prime example of successful cooperation between the government and private sector. Ukraine is also leveraging partnerships with international allies to further bolster its missile capabilities.
Previously, President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has highlighted a significant breakthrough for Ukraine's defense sector with the successful flight tests of a newly developed domestic ballistic missile.
