Ukraine’s national women’s futsal team secured a 6-0 victory over Northern Ireland in their second match of the World Cup qualifying campaign on October 17.

This qualification marks a historic moment, as it’s the first time Ukraine has reached the Women’s Futsal Championship since its inception in 2022.

In the European qualifiers, 23 teams have been divided into six groups, competing over two stages for the four available spots in the World Cup.

Ukraine is competing in a group alongside the host nation, Northern Ireland, and France.

Despite a strong start in their second match, Ukrainian team lost their opening game against France 1-3.

Earlier, Ukraine’s national futsal team secured its first-ever bronze medal at the 2024 FIFA Futsal World Cup in Uzbekistan, defeating France 7:1 in the third-place playoff.
