Ukraine Will Regain Ground by Force if Diplomacy Fails, Zelenskyy Says
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has stated that Ukraine is working to end the war with Russia through diplomatic channels but is prepared to take military action if these efforts fail.
Zelenskyy emphasized that Ukraine’s primary goal is to restore its territorial integrity and prevent further aggression from Russia. He noted that if diplomatic attempts are unsuccessful, the Ukrainian armed forces will be ready to regain control of the occupied territories.
“We will do everything we can to force Putin to end this war diplomatically, to minimize losses, especially human ones, and time. However, if we are unsuccessful, if our partners falter and do not stand firmly against Putin’s aggression, we will ensure that our army is ready to justly drive Putin out of our country’s territory,” the President stated.
The President also called on international partners to expedite the delivery of promised military aid. He pointed out that delays in supplying weapons and equipment could impact the effectiveness of Ukrainian forces in combating Russian aggression.
This statement is part of a broader diplomatic and military strategy by Ukraine in response to Russian aggression.
Earlier today, President Zelenskyy announced the first use of the “Palianytsia” missile drone against Russian positions during Independence Day celebrations. He called it a revolutionary weapon, thanking all involved and noting that it represents a “completely new class” of military technology.
