Ukraine’s Air Defense Repels Massive Russian Drone and Missile Attack

On the night of September 29-30, Russian forces launched a massive missile and drone attack on Ukraine, including the capital Kyiv.

A total of 76 means of air attack were detected by Ukraine’s Air Force:

• one "Iskander-M" ballistic missile;

• one Kh-59/69 guided air missile;

• one Kh-31P anti-radiation missile;

• 73 strike UAVs of the "Shahed" type.

The Ukrainian Air Force reported downing the Kh-59/69 missile and 67 drones in Kyiv, Cherkasy, Vinnytsia, Kirovohrad, Zhytomyr, Poltava, Chernihiv, Sumy, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk and Mykolaiv regions. 

According to preliminary data, no destruction or casualties were reported in Kyiv.
