Ukraine has issued a response to Iran’s, which took place on the evening of October 1, 2024. In a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ukraine reiterated that civilians should never be targets in such deadly assaults.

The Ministry emphasized that Ukraine, which has been resisting unprovoked military aggression for more than two and a half years, is also standing against Iran, a key supporter of Russia through its supply of weapons used in the war against Ukraine.

“The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine strongly condemns the massive Iranian missile attack on Israel. We once again call on all parties in the Middle East conflict to prevent the escalation of hostilities into a large-scale war, the consequences of which would be catastrophic not only for the people in the region but for the entire world,” the statement reads.

Ukraine also denounced Iran’s destabilizing actions, which, according to the Ministry, are affecting both Europe and the Middle East. In its statement, the Ministry expressed support for the swift actions of Israel’s allies and partners in response to the missile strikes and their efforts to mitigate the impact of the attack.
