On June 26, Ukraine’s military intelligence (HUR) reported that its special drone unit, known as “The Ghosts,” conducted a successful strike on Russian air defense infrastructure in temporarily occupied Crimea.

The operation reportedly targeted key elements of the S-400 “Triumf” surface-to-air missile system. According to Ukrainian sources, the following components were hit:

Two 92N2E multi-functional radar systems;

Two 91N6E detection radars;

One S-400 launch vehicle.

These radar systems are essential for the functionality of the S-400, providing detection and tracking capabilities. Without them, the system’s effectiveness is severely compromised.

A Ukrainian defense official, speaking on condition of anonymity, stated:
“Each successful operation further degrades the enemy’s ability to control the skies over occupied territories. This is part of a broader effort to create strategic vulnerabilities in their defenses.”

Previously, it was reported that the HUR carried out a sabotage operation targeting a major power substation in the Russian exclave of Kaliningrad, knocking out electricity to Russian military sites in a $5 million sabotage.
