Ukrainian Artist Sergiy Maidukov Joins Global Talent for The New Yorker’s 100th Anniversary Poster Project

Ukrainian artist Sergiy Maidukov has contributed to the centennial celebration of the legendary American magazine The New Yorker. He became one of 100 artists from around the world invited to create a special poster marking the publication’s 100th anniversary.
The project was unveiled on the magazine’s official Instagram page on September 5 dedicated to illustrations. Each artist offered their own interpretation of the number “100,” symbolizing the centenary of The New Yorker.
“We created a poster to celebrate a century of outstanding journalism, fiction, poetry, and humor. We thank all the artists who took part in this project,” the statement reads.

Maidukov’s work can be seen in the second row from the bottom.
“For the 100th anniversary of The New Yorker, 100 illustrators created their visual interpretations of the number 100. It is a great honor for me to be among colleagues whose work I have admired for years,” the artist commented.

Alongside Maidukov, the project also features prominent illustrators from around the globe, including German designer Christoph Niemann, French-British artist Malika Favre, Canadian cartoonist Seth, The New Yorker cartoonist Roz Chast, Dutch artist Joost Swarte, Italian illustrator Emiliano Ponzi, and many others.
The poster is available in a 24×36 inch format (60.9×91.4 cm) and costs $39.
Earlier, Oleksiy Sai’s installation Black Cloud, which was destroyed by a desert storm on the opening day of Burning Man 2025 in Nevada, was reimagined and reborn under a new title—No Fate.
