Ukrainian Commander Syrskyi Confirms Russia Has Captured Three Villages in Zaporizhzhia

Russia has captured three settlements in the Zaporizhzhia region amid intensified fighting, Ukraine’s Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrskyi announced on November 11.
He stated that Russian forces took advantage of heavy fog to increase their activity, particularly in the Oleksandrivka and Huliaipole directions.
“The situation has significantly worsened,” Syrskyi said, noting that enemy troops, using their numerical superiority, advanced during fierce clashes and seized control of the three villages.

Ukrainian troops are continuing to defend nearby areas, including Rivnopillia and Yablukove.
“Each meter of territory comes at a high cost for the Russian side,” Syrskyi noted. “In the past three days alone, Russian forces have lost around 800 personnel and more than 100 units of military equipment in the operational area of the Southern Group.”
He also highlighted increased use of domestically developed long-range weapons.
“We are improving the effectiveness of Ukrainian-made systems—including Neptune and Flamingo missiles, as well as rocket-powered drones—which continue to impact enemy operations,” Syrskyi said.
Earlier, it was reported that Ukraine’s drone industry is rapidly expanding into Europe, driven by the ongoing war with Russia and rising demand from NATO members.
