Ukrainian Drones Wipe Out Russian S-300V Launcher and Two Niobiy-SV Radars in Donbas, Video

Ukraine’s military intelligence service says its combat drone teams destroyed a Russian S-300V air-defense launcher and two Niobiy-SV radar stations during a nighttime strike in the Donbas, releasing video of the operation on December 2.
According to the Defense Intelligence Directorate (HUR), the coordinated attacks targeted some of the most expensive and strategically important components of Russia’s air-defense network.

The strikes were carried out on November 29 as part of an effort to reduce Russia’s ability to control the airspace over occupied territory.
HUR said its operators located and hit a 9A83 launcher from the S-300V surface-to-air missile system while it was on active combat duty. The system is designed to defend Russian forces and critical infrastructure from ballistic missiles, cruise missiles, aircraft, and drones—making the loss of a launcher a significant operational setback.
Drone teams also struck two 1L125 Niobiy-SV radar stations, a mobile three-coordinate sensors mounted on KamAZ trucks, and used to detect everything from aircraft and helicopters to ballistic missiles and UAVs. Russian specifications claim the radar can track targets out to 500 kilometers and monitor up to 300 aerial objects simultaneously.
Ukrainian officials said disabling these assets weakens Russia’s situational awareness and helps pave the way for future air operations.

“Such strikes significantly reduce the enemy’s ability to control the airspace over Donbas and create conditions for new operations by Ukraine’s Defense Forces,” HUR said.
Earlier, Ukrainian forces operating FPV drones destroyed a rare Russian mobile air defense command post—identified as the PPRU-1 “Ovod-M-SV.”
