A video released by the brigade shows Ukrainian soldiers evacuating six captured Russian troops as Russian artillery fires toward the area. The 67th Brigade claimed the shelling was part of a Russian strategy to intimidate or eliminate surrendering soldiers and prevent future capitulations.

“We are proud of the heroism and skill of our brave soldiers, who made the decisive choice to confront superior enemy forces and, by capturing them, do everything possible to preserve the lives of the exchange fund and prevent the occupiers from killing their ‘comrades’,” the brigade stated.

The brigade also highlighted that despite the enemy's ongoing attempts to break through their defenses, their forces are “holding the line” and pushing forward, liberating Ukrainian territory.

Earlier, Ukraine notified foreign governments about the enlistment of their citizens into the Russian military, providing information on 136 mercenaries from 37 countries who have been captured by Ukrainian forces.
