Ukrainian Forces Neutralize More Than 200 Russian Attack Drones in Precise Strike
Ukraine’s Armed Forces struck storage facilities housing Russian attack drones in Russia’s Orlov region, neutralizing over 200 Shahed drones, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on January 26.
“Units of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, in coordination with other regiments of the Defense Forces, carried out a strike on storage facilities for Russian attack drones in the Orlov region of the Russian Federation,” the report stated.
The targeted site included reinforced concrete structures used to store thermobaric warheads, which are mounted on drones. According to the General Staff, the strike caused “significant secondary detonations.”
“Details and the full extent of the damage are being clarified, but preliminary reports indicate that more than 200 Shahed drones will no longer be used against our country,” the statement added.
Earlier, Russia’s Bryansk-based plant ‘Kremniy El,’ which produces microelectronics for missile systems, suspended operations after an overnight drone attack.
