Ukrainian Forces Strike Russian Command Post in Khartsyzk, Donetsk Region

The Armed Forces of Ukraine carried out a precision strike on the command post of Russia’s 8th Guards Combined Arms Army, located in the city of Khartsyzk in the Donetsk region.

This was reported by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on January 8 on their official Telegram account.

“This facility was seized by occupying Russian armed forces to coordinate attacks against Ukrainian Armed Forces and civilians, especially in Kurakhove. All necessary measures were taken to limit the risk to civilians,” the General Staff wrote without providing any further details for the moment.

On January 8, the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched a drone attack on a fuel storage facility in Engels, Saratov region, Russia, causing a massive fire at the Kristall reserve fuel depot, which supplied aviation fuel for Russia’s Engels-2 strategic airbase.
