Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs released a comment where its spokesman denied statements that Financial Times wrote earlier about preparation of “compomise” with Russia done by Ukrainian FM Andrii Sybiha on October 1.

Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Georgii Tykhyi denied false information about Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha, saying that he “was present at every meeting attended by Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha in New York, and there were no proposals, discussions, or even hints of any territorial compromises.”

“On the contrary, the minister’s position is unwavering, and he repeated it behind closed doors: there can be no compromises on Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. The peace formula is the only realistic path to a comprehensive, just, and lasting peace. The principle of 'Nothing about Ukraine without Ukraine' must be strictly upheld,” cited the FM’s words speaker of the Ministry.

The claims by the Financial Times source about the minister discussing compromises are simply untrue, and we are curious to know who is interested in spreading such false narratives,” Tykhyi added.

Earlier, Ukrainian FM Andrii Sybiha had a meeting with his Hungarian counterpart in Budapest, where they discussed EU and NATO integration of Ukraine as well as held bilateral talks.
