During a special event organized by Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs for honorary consuls and Ukrainian ambassadors, representatives of the Main Intelligence Directorate (HUR) showcased captured Russian weapons and numerous Western-made electronic components still making their way into Russia despite international sanctions.

The presentation was detailed in a statement published by the Defense Ministry’s Intelligence Directorate on July 26.

During the event, Ukraine’s Deputy Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha emphasized that increasing pressure on Russia and its enablers remains a top diplomatic priority.

“Only coordinated action between security and diplomatic structures can cut off the supply of critical components for enemy weapons and help stop the genocidal war unleashed against the Ukrainian people,” the Intelligence Directorate said.

Officials also unveiled the War&Sanctions analytical platform—a digital tool designed to track Western components found in Russian weaponry and to counteract sanctions evasion.

The platform’s “Components in Weapons” section regularly publishes an updated electronic database of newly analyzed parts, compiled by HUR experts in cooperation with research institutions.

Previously, Ukrainian military intelligence has examined a new drone used by Russian forces that resembles a smaller version of the Iranian-designed “Shahed”, but with key differences in design, function, and threat potential.
