Ukrainian Jet Targets Russian UAV Operators and Ammunition Depot in Precision Strike

A Ukrainian MiG-29 fighter jet carried out a precision strike with guided aerial bombs on a Russian drone operator command post in the Zaporizhzhia sector, the Air Force Command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on Telegram June 13.
“A MiG-29 of the Air Force carried out a high-precision strike with guided aerial bombs on an enemy UAV operator control center. A second bomb destroyed an enemy ammunition and fuel depot,” the statement reads.
The strike was conducted in support of ground operations in the area. Russian losses are being clarified.
Separately, an aerial reconnaissance team from the “Chornyi Lis” Brigade identified a rare and powerful Russian 2S7 Pion self-propelled artillery system, valued at over $1 million. After relaying the coordinates, a neighboring Ukrainian artillery unit carried out a successful strike, destroying the high-value target.
Earlier, Ukrainian and Crimean Tatar partisans from the Atesh movement carried out a sabotage operation near the temporarily occupied city of Melitopol in Zaporizhzhia region, setting fire to a Russian military “Ural” truck.
In a statement published via Telegram, the group said the attack was deliberately timed to send a symbolic message to Russian forces on Russia Day. According to the partisans, the explosion resulted in the deaths of several Russian soldiers on duty at the time.
