A Russian drone attack on the village of Kryukivshchyna in the Kyiv region resulted in the deaths of journalist Tetyana Kulyk and Professor Pavlo Ivanchov, head of the Department of Surgery No. 3 at the Bogomolets National Medical University.
According to Ukrinform, Kulyk and her husband were at home when a suicide drone struck the residential building. The Bogomolets National Medical University confirmed Ivanchov’s passing, stating that the body found at the scene was sent for forensic examination to verify the identity.
Kulyk was a journalist at Ukrinform, where she served as editor-in-chief of the multimedia editorial department and was the author and host of the project “Nation of the Unconquered.” She had previously worked as the editor-in-chief of the public affairs editorial office, a presenter at Central Channel and Public Broadcasting of Ukraine, and was a member of the National Union of Journalists of Ukraine.

Her career in journalism began as a literary editor after graduating from the National University of Culture and Arts. Between 2015 and 2017, she was deputy director of Kreshchatyk, 26, a branch of the National Public Broadcasting Company of Ukraine.
Ukrinform’s General Director Serhiy Cherevatyi commented on her work, noting her contributions to covering Ukraine’s ongoing defense efforts and the preparation of an interview with Kyrylo Budanov the day before the attack.
Earlier, a drone strike in the Bucha district near Kyiv caused a fire that destroyed a two-story residential building. According to the Kyiv Regional Military Administration, emergency services responded to the scene. A 19-year-old woman sustained a head injury and was hospitalized.
