Ukrainian Naval Forces destroyed a Russian Black Sea Fleet landing craft carrying enemy troops on June 24, 2025, off the western shore of the Kherson region, Vice Admiral Oleksiy Neizhpapa announced, sharing video footage of the strike.

“We destroyed another Black Sea Fleet landing craft moving along the western shore of the Kherson region. I thank our naval sailors for a job well done. Together to victory!” stated Neizhpapa on his Facebook page.

The video shows the craft approaching a shallow coastal area before being struck and then breaking apart in the water.

The exact date of the strike has not been disclosed as well as the footage does not allow for an accurate identification of the Russian craft’s class. It is highly likely that the strike was carried out by a Bayraktar UAV attack drone, as evidenced by its distinctive interface seen on the video.

Earlier, Denmark deployed saildrones to track Russian naval movements in the Baltic Sea, augmenting maritime surveillance capabilities against potential threats. The autonomous vessels, equipped with advanced sensors, provide real-time intelligence and have operated since mid-2025 in partnership with NATO allies.
