Ukrainian Parliament Releases Statement Thanking the American People, President Trump, and U.S. Congress

On March 3, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine issued a statement expressing gratitude to the United States, President Donald Trump, and the American people for their ongoing support of Ukraine’s independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.

The statement from the Ukrainian Parliament emphasized the critical role of the United States as a strategic partner, particularly through security assistance packages that have helped stabilize the situation on the frontline.

“The contribution of the United States of America as Ukraine’s strategic partner has been of decisive importance among international allies in supporting our nation during the most challenging times in its history,” the statement reads.

The Verkhovna Rada also acknowledged Ukraine’s respect for the American people’s aspirations to restore the U.S.'s global leadership. It emphasized that this leadership should remain closely linked to the defense of freedom and democracy, commitment to international agreements, and maintaining strong relations with allies.

“The Ukrainian people desire peace more than anyone else in the world,” the Rada declared, adding that they are confident that President Trump’s personal role and his peacekeeping efforts will be pivotal in ending hostilities and achieving peace, not only for Ukraine but for Europe and the world as a whole.

The Ukrainian Parliament specifically welcomed President Trump’s initiatives aimed at launching a negotiation process to secure peace in the region. It expressed a belief that these efforts are “decisive” in the search for lasting stability.

Furthermore, the Verkhovna Rada underscored the importance of further strengthening the strategic partnership with the United States. This includes cooperation in the exploration of Ukraine’s rich natural resources, such as critical minerals, which are vital for both nations’ future economic growth.

“We are convinced that the security and stable development of our nation are ensured by the unwavering support of the United States,” the statement added, noting that this partnership reflects the values that have driven America’s historic success and continue to inspire millions of Ukrainians.

The Rada concluded the statement with a strong reaffirmation of Ukraine’s commitment to remaining an independent and sovereign state, with the Ukrainian people standing firm and unconquered.

“Together, we are stronger!” the Verkhovna Rada asserted.

Previously, it was reported that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reaffirmed that Ukraine’s partnership with the United States remains strong and that Washington’s support will continue.
