US Has Allowed Ukraine to Strike Inside Russia But With Restrictions, Ukraine Confirms

Serhii Nykyforov, the press secretary of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, confirmed in an interview with The Guardian that Ukraine has received permission from the United States to use American weapons for strikes on Russian territory with restrictions—the weapons can be used in the border region with Kharkiv.

Nikiforov said this "will significantly boost our ability to counter Russian attempts to mass across the border." The authorization extends to strikes against Russian troops and command-and-control centers near the Kharkiv region.

However, Ukraine would still not be able to use the long-range ATASCMS system within Russia.
