US Prepares to Announce $150 Million Military Aid Package for Ukraine

The United States is preparing to announce a military assistance package for Ukraine valued at approximately $150 million, according to a report by the Associated Press on June 24, citing two unnamed American officials.

The forthcoming package, scheduled for unveiling on May 25, will feature new HIMARS (High Mobility Artillery Rocket System) rockets, anti-armor weaponry, small arms, grenades, and crucial 155 mm and 105 mm artillery shells, as reported by AP's sources.

On June 21, it was revealed that the United States has expanded the scope of permission for Ukraine to utilize American weapons. Ukrainian forces can target any Russian border forces initiating attacks from their side of the border, not limited to the Kharkiv region alone.

This adjustment follows earlier restrictions where the White House authorized Ukrainian use of American weapons exclusively in the border region adjacent to Kharkiv, where Russia initiated new offensives in May.
