U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken arrived in Ukraine for an unannounced visit. He announced this on his Twitter/X account.

According to Reuters, during his visit, Blinken will meet with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and assure Kyiv of Washington's full support. “Blinken hopes to send a strong signal of reassurance to the Ukrainians who are obviously in a very difficult moment“, — said US official travelling with Blinken.
On 14 May, Blinken is also expected to deliver a speech in support of Ukraine.
