US to Participate in the Ukrainian-Swiss Peace Summit in June
On May 26 President Volodymyr Zelenskyy urged Us President Joe Biden and Chinese leader Xi Jinping to participate in his Peace Summit, as Ukraine struggles with relentless attacks from Russia amid the 27-month-long invasion.
The US has confirmed its participation in the upcoming Peace Summit scheduled for June in Switzerland, as reported to Reuters. The name of the representative from Washington remains to be confirmed.
A Global Peace Summit, initiated by Ukraine, will be held in Switzerland between June 15-16. The summit will take place at the Bürgenstock resort, near the city of Lucerne.
The conference will prioritize Ukraine’s Peace Plan and other proposals aligned with the UN Charter and international law.
Earlier, it was confirmed that over 50 countries will attend the summit.
