Video Reveals Ukrainian Su-24M Testing New Domestic Guided Aerial Bomb
The Air Force of the Ukrainian Armed Forces is reportedly testing a domestic analog of the UMPK (unified gliding and correction module) aerial bomb to enable Ukrainian aircraft to carry out long-range bomb strikes on Russian targets.
The video of the testing was posted on a channel dedicated to the Ukrainian military aircraft.
The footage shows that the Su-24M front-line bomber is being used to test the Ukrainian-guided aerial bomb.
It is reported that the bomber is accompanied by a Su-27UB two-seater combat training fighter, from which the video is being filmed.
According to Militarny experts, it can be seen from the video that, most likely, Ukrainian engineers installed a hinged structure on the Soviet free-falling aerial bomb, some parts of which are similar to elements of the UMPK, which the Russian forces installed on their bombs to increase the flight range and accuracy.
