Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy initiated, on September 4, a significant government overhaul, emphasizing the need for "new energy”.

The President made this statement during a joint press briefing with Irish Prime Minister Simon Harris.

Personnel changes in Ukraine’s government

  • Andrii Sybiha will become the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine;

  • Olha Stefanishyna will become the Head of the Ministry of Justice. She will also remain in the position of Deputy Prime Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration of Ukraine;

  • Oleksii Kuleba will become the Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction of Ukraine - the Minister of Communities and Territories Development;

  • Svitlana Hrinchuk will be the Head of The Ministry of Environmental Protection and Natural Resources;

  • Matvii Bidnyi will become the Minister of Youth and Sports;

  • Mykola Tochytscyi will become the Minister of Culture and Strategic Communications;

  • Nataliia Kalmykova will head the Ministry of Veteran Affairs;

  • Herman Smetanin will become the Minister of Strategic Industries of Ukraine;

  • Vitaly Koval will head the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.
