Zaluzhnyi Confirms US-Ukrainian Joint Command Center in Germany Planned Military Operations Against Russia

Ukraine’s Ambassador to the UK and former Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Valerii Zaluzhnyi, confirmed that a secret command center was established in Wiesbaden, Germany, in 2022, where Ukrainian commanders, in collaboration with American partners, planned operations against Russian forces.
This was reported by The New York Times and Zaluzhnyi on Facebook on April 8.
According to Zaluzhnyi, in April 2022, a coordination center for military aid to Ukraine began operating. It was tasked with managing the supply of weapons and equipment to Ukraine from its partners to defend against Russia’s invasion. Initially based at the US European Command headquarters in Stuttgart, the center later moved to Wiesbaden.
“Eventually, we realized we needed a joint operational headquarters with our partners to assess the needs for weapons and equipment based on operational planning. This issue became particularly urgent in the summer of 2022 when our partners raised concerns about the feasibility of certain types of weapons and ammunition for the frontlines in Ukraine,” Zaluzhnyi wrote.

The former Commander-in-Chief added that the headquarters planned operations, conducted military simulations, identified needs for the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and communicated those needs to the US and European capitals.
Zaluzhnyi described the headquarters as “an excellent mechanism for cooperation with our partners regarding future military operations and identifying the needs for them.”
In an interview with BR24 on March 31, German General Carsten Breuer, the Inspector General of the Bundeswehr warned that Russia’s continuous military rearmament sets the stage for a potential large-scale conflict with NATO by 2029.
