On the morning of October 4, Ukraine’s intelligence (HUR) reported on an occupational forces employee of the Russian-controlled Zaporizhzhia nuclear power plant car blowing up in the temporarily occupied city of Enerhodar, Ukraine. Russia's Investigative Committee confirmed his death.
The emplyee is Andrii Korotkyi, the so-called "head of physical security" of the occupied Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant (ZNPP), involved in the organization and execution of war crimes and repression of Ukrainians under occupation.
“After the capture of the ZNPP, he voluntarily went to cooperate with the Russian invaders, gave the Russians lists of station employees with their personal data, pointing to citizens with a pro-Ukrainian position,” HUR wrote.
It was also reported that he constantly organized events aimed at supporting the Russian army of occupation. He headed the so-called "Council of Deputies" in Enerhodar as a member of Putin's United Russia party.
