Zelenskyy and Scholz Inspect Cutting-Edge AI-Powered Combat Drones in Kyiv
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy and German Chancellor Olaf Scholz in Kyiv inspected the latest models of products with automatic detection and target engagement systems, including drones, FPV drones, ground robotic complexes, and a "drone swarm " control system.
This was reported by the President's office on December 2.
The exhibition featured domestically produced drones, as well as those created in Ukraine in cooperation with German companies.
One of the drones on display was equipped with a German-made AI-powered automatic targeting system, while another was the result of a German company that has localized its production and servicing operations in Ukraine.
Representatives of the manufacturing companies briefed President Zelenskyy and Chancellor Scholz on the specifications of the aerial and ground unmanned systems, as well as their application features. They were also shown examples of combat use of Ukrainian-made weaponry with computer vision, automatic targeting, and guidance systems.
"It is very important that Ukraine is producing such weapons, and that we are doing so in cooperation with Germany. I thank everyone involved in this work and thank Germany for its crucial support in strengthening our defense capabilities," said President Zelenskyy.
Earlier, it was announced that Germany will deliver a new military aid package worth $684 million (€650 million) to Ukraine by the end of the year, including 2 advanced IRIS-T air defense systems, 10 Leopard 1 tanks, 60 M84 and M80 tanks, and infantry fighting vehicles, and combat drones.
