Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy was honored with the Golden Plate Award by the American Academy of Achievement, that honors global figures for their contributions to humanity for 60 years.
In his remarks, Zelenskyy stressed the importance of unity and resilience in today’s world, where the stakes of the fight for freedom are higher than ever.
“Today’s world does not allow us to lose a single battle, when on one side is freedom and on the other is everything that we would never wish for our children,” Zelenskyy said during his acceptance speech. “We all need a win. And we all know why.”
The Golden Plate Award has been presented since 1961 by the American Academy of Achievement to approximately 25 guests of honor at the International Achievement Summit.
