On February 4, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated that he would be willing to sit down with Russian leader Vladimir Putin if it were the only way to achieve peace and prevent further loss of Ukrainian lives.

Speaking in an interview with Piers Morgan, Zelenskyy was asked whether he could envision himself facing Putin at the negotiating table. In response, he emphasized that his personal feelings toward the Russian leader were secondary to securing peace for Ukraine.

“If that is the only setup in which we can bring peace to the citizens of Ukraine and not lose people, we will definitely go for this setup,” Zelenskyy stated. “What does it matter what my attitude toward him is? I will not be kind to him. I consider him an enemy, and to be honest, I believe he considers me an enemy as well. That's it.”

Previously, the English broadcaster and journalist Piers Morgan announced taking an interview with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy.
