Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy will arrive in Croatia on Wednesday, October 9, to participate in the Ukraine - Southeast Europe summit, which will take place in Dubrovnik, according to N1.

The summit is organized by Zelenskyy in collaboration with Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković.

This is the third summit of its kind—the first was held in Athens in August 2022, and the second took place in Tirana in February 2024.

The aim of the meeting in Dubrovnik is to demonstrate solidarity and support for Ukraine from the countries of Southeast Europe.

According to a source in the Croatian government, it is expected that alongside Zelenskyy and Prime Minister Plenković, high-ranking officials from 12 Balkan countries will attend the meeting, including three heads of state, five prime ministers, and four foreign ministers.

Participants at the summit are expected to adopt a joint declaration, the text of which is still under discussion but will align with the declarations from the two previous summits.

Key points of the declaration include condemnation of Russian aggression, support for Ukraine's territorial integrity, including Crimea, endorsement of Zelenskyy's peace plan, calls for investigations into war crimes in Ukraine, support for Ukraine's aspirations to join the EU and NATO, as well as backing for the country's energy security and post-war reconstruction.
