Daily Update: Russia Loses 1,120 Troops, 6 Tanks, and 113 Artillery Systems in One Day

Russian forces lost another 1,120 troops, along with six tanks and 113 artillery systems over the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s General Staff reported on May 4.

The latest figures bring Russia’s total estimated personnel losses since the start of the full-scale invasion to approximately 1,335,150.

According to the update, Russian forces have also lost 11,914 tanks and 24,507 armored fighting vehicles, while total artillery losses have reached 41,306 systems. Additional losses include 1,767 multiple launch rocket systems and 1,357 air defense systems.

In the air, Russian losses remain unchanged at 435 aircraft and 352 helicopters. Meanwhile, Ukrainian forces have destroyed 272,062 operational-tactical drones and 4,584 cruise missiles.

Russia has also lost 33 naval vessels and two submarines.

Losses in logistics and support assets continue to grow, with 93,824 vehicles and fuel tankers destroyed, along with 4,168 units of specialized equipment. Ukrainian forces have also targeted ground-based robotic systems, bringing their total losses to 1,317.

Over the same period, 148 combat engagements were recorded along the front line, as Ukrainian defense forces continued to repel Russian attempts to advance.

Earlier, reports emerged that the combined confirmed deaths from Bashkortostan and Tatarstan, two constituent republics of the Russian Federation in the Volga-Urals region, have now exceeded the total losses suffered by the Soviet Union during its 10-year military campaign in Afghanistan.
