Daily Update: Russia Loses 1,190 Troops and 44 Artillery Systems in One Day

Russian forces suffered an estimated 1,190 personnel casualties and lost four tanks over the past 24 hours, according to the detailed figures released by Ukraine’s General Staff on August 11.

Russia’s total estimated personnel losses since launching its full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, have now reached approximately 1,460,400.

Ukraine also reported that Russian forces lost four armored combat vehicles, 44 artillery systems, one multiple launch rocket system, two air defense systems, nine UGVs, 1,578 operational-tactical UAVs, 307 vehicles and fuel tankers, and three pieces of special equipment over the past day.

Russia’s cumulative equipment losses are estimated at 12,259 tanks, 25,120 armored combat vehicles, 47,713 artillery systems, 2,020 multiple launch rocket systems, 1,560 air defense systems, 439 aircraft, 354 helicopters, 2,190 UGVs, 454,572 operational-tactical UAVs, 5,007 cruise missiles, 34 ships and boats, two submarines, 132,543 vehicles and fuel tankers, and 4,514 pieces of special equipment.

Ukraine’s General Staff recorded 212 combat engagements between Ukrainian forces and Russian troops across the front over the past 24 hours.

Earlier, reports emerged that the Kremlin and the Russian Ministry of Defense have instructed regional officials to recruit 409,000 contract soldiers this year under regional quotas.

Pressure on local authorities has increased in recent months as Russian leader Vladimir Putin seeks to avoid announcing a new wave of official mobilization.
