Daily Update: Russia Loses 1,210 Troops and 67 Artillery Systems in One Day

Russian forces suffered an estimated 1,210 personnel casualties and lost 67 artillery systems over the past 24 hours, Ukraine’s General Staff reported on August 7.

Russia’s total estimated personnel losses since launching its full-scale invasion on February 24, 2022, have now reached approximately 1,455,420.

According to the General Staff, Russian forces also lost one tank, 11 armored combat vehicles, two multiple launch rocket systems, three air defense systems, 14 UGVs, and 1,589 operational-tactical UAVs over the past day.

Ukraine additionally reported the destruction of 386 vehicles and fuel tankers and six pieces of special equipment.

Russia’s cumulative equipment losses are estimated at 12,247 tanks, 25,098 armored combat vehicles, 47,522 artillery systems, 2,008 multiple launch rocket systems, 1,550 air defense systems, 439 aircraft, 354 helicopters, 2,152 UGVs, 447,855 operational-tactical UAVs, 5,007 cruise missiles, 34 ships and boats, two submarines, 131,068 vehicles and fuel tankers, and 4,502 pieces of special equipment.

Ukraine recorded 233 combat engagements across the front over the past 24 hours.

Russian forces carried out one missile strike using a single missile and launched 91 airstrikes, dropping 308 guided aerial bombs. They also deployed 10,621 strike drones and conducted 3,176 attacks on Ukrainian positions and populated areas.

Over the same period, Ukrainian aircraft, missile forces, and artillery struck two Russian UAV command posts, six artillery systems, and 18 areas where Russian personnel were concentrated.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reported that Ukrainian drones inflicted 30,272 video-confirmed Russian personnel losses along the front in July. He clarified that the total counts both killed and seriously wounded troops, and includes only engagements backed by clear video evidence.
