Ukraine Reports 30,272 Video-Confirmed Russian Personnel Losses From Drone Strikes in July

Ukrainian drones inflicted 30,272 video-confirmed Russian personnel losses along the front in July, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy stated on August 4.
The president relayed the figure from the Defense Ministry's July front-line report in an address posted to his official Telegram channel that evening.

"Overall, in July, all our units on the front eliminated 30,272 Russians—specifically using drones," Zelenskyy wrote.
He clarified that the total counts both killed and seriously wounded troops, and includes only engagements backed by clear video evidence. Zelenskyy described the front-line trend as unchanged, with Russia losing roughly 30,000 troops each month.
The president also announced that he had approved new operations for the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) after its head, Oleksandr Poklad, briefed him on July's results and set priorities for August.
The service's "Alpha" unit ranked first for successful target engagements, Zelenskyy noted.

He emphasized that Ukrainian units would field still more drones and pressed partners to keep supplying air defense missiles, which he called the top priority. Every such package protects lives, Zelenskyy added.
The pace of drone-inflicted losses has held steady across recent months. In May, Ukrainian unmanned systems units struck more than 88,000 targets and neutralized over 30,500 Russian servicemen, closely tracking the July figure.
Russia also sustained heavy losses over the past 24 hours, with Ukraine reporting 1,240 troops, 55 artillery systems, and four multiple-launch rocket systems destroyed.
