Daily Update: Russia Loses 1,240 Troops, 55 Artillery Systems, and 4 MLRS in One Day

Russian forces lost an estimated 1,240 troops, along with 55 artillery systems and five air defense systems, during the past 24 hours, according to Ukraine's General Staff on August 4.

The General Staff estimates that Russia has now lost approximately 1,451,750 personnel since the start of its full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022.

According to the update, Ukrainian forces also destroyed five tanks, four armored combat vehicles, 12 unmanned ground vehicles, 1,792 tactical drones, 55 artillery systems, four MLRS, and 413 vehicles and fuel tankers.

The General Staff's latest estimates put Russia’s cumulative equipment losses at 12,237 tanks, 25,079 armored combat vehicles, 47,331 artillery systems, 2,000 multiple launch rocket systems, 439 aircraft, 354 helicopters, 2,124 unmanned ground vehicles, 442,740 tactical drones, 5,007 cruise missiles, two submarines, 129,817 vehicles and fuel tankers, and 4,492 pieces of special equipment.

Ukraine's military said 226 combat engagements were recorded along the front line over the previous day.

The General Staff also reported that Russian forces launched two missile strikes using three missiles and carried out 84 airstrikes, dropping 258 guided aerial bombs. They also deployed 10,712 strike drones and conducted 3,251 attacks against Ukrainian military positions and populated areas.

Just a day earlier, Ukraine's Unmanned Systems Forces targeted a convoy of Russian fuel tankers in the Russian-occupied city of Prymorsk in the Zaporizhzhia region.
